After Super Mario 3 for the NES, people were wondering what designer Shigeru Miyamoto would come up with as an encore. And not only did he not disappoint, but he came up with Super mario World, which is considered to be the best of the Mario series to that point in time. An instant classic, Super Mario World is one of the most creative 2D platformers, with outstanding gameplay and puzzle elements. you will be dazzled by its fantastic colorful graphics with scaling sprite effects, and exceptional sound quality and character designs. The game scenario is that while Princess Toadstool is on vacation on Yoshi's Island, arch nemesis Bowser has kidnapped her, with his plan being to ultimately take over the Mushroom Kingdom. And so once again it is up to Mario to save the day. And to help in this, Mario has some new features at his disposal. He can also team up and ride upon his new friend, Yoshi the dinosaur, who has the awesome ability to gobble up Mario's enemies. But watch out for other dinosaurs that each have their own special means of attack. There are 96 levels in 9 huge worlds to conquer. And each level has a set of extra items to collect, including dinosaur coins and stars that you can use to open up the bonus games. The game is difficult at times, frustrating at times, but always enjoyable, entertaining and very addictive. Super Mario World is simply a great game that is a lot of fun, especially in multiplayer mode with a friend (playing as Luigi). This game influenced many novices to pick up a controller, and is a must-have title for any SNES owner or collector.
