Mario hits the fairways with bright graphics in this 3rd-Person Perspective golfing adventure that features an lineup of ten all-star celebrity Nintendo character golfers that include Mario, Luigi, Wario, Yoshi, Baby Mario, Princess Peach and even unlock characters like Donkey Kong and Bowser. Along with computer generated characters, these Nintendo 64 favorites go one against another, in one of the most comprehensive and inventive golf games released for the N64. Honestly, iI had a hard time putting this game down. I know, You're not into golf in real life and so think this will be boring. Take my word for it, this is not your father's Golf game. It may look like a kid's game, but this is a seriously legit and entertaining golf game. Each player has their own unique set of tendencies, weaknesses and strengths and compete on six impressive golf courses (total of 108 holes). This N64 game is no easy to play, limited, golf simulation like Waialae Country Club, it is truly a game classic. The different weather conditions and control over how you line up your shot makes Mario Golf 64 a very challenging and enjoyable game. For players that are not as gifted as their friends, there is also an optional "Handicap Mode" that will ensure that they stay close to the competition. The gameplay is phenomenal with so much depth, and you can view the golf course from diverse approaches or perspectives. The physics are as realistic as anything you could hope to expect from the N64 platform. The game actually calculates ball movement based upon wind direction, strength of your swing, and the spin you choose to place on the golf ball. You can actually progress to get a real sense for velocity, wind conditions and slope. The Graphics are impressive with excellent renderings and bright sprites. But the best part is the super design and look of some of the courses. The music is well suited for the platform and the sound effects surprising and well done. There are a variety of game modes, including Speed Golf, Stroke, Match Game, Skins Match, Club Slots, Tournament mode (18-holes against 29 CPU players) and Mini Golf, which will help you improve your short shots. Mario Golf has the fun features that will keep you and your friends interested and playing for months. Features 1-4 multiplayer modes.
