Wave Race: Blue Storm

$12.99

GCG0145 - Developed and published by Nintendo, and released on November 18, 2001, "Waverace: Blue Storm" is the sequel to the 1996 N64 platform hit game, "Wave Race 64." Wave Race: Blue Storm is one of the most beautiful and accurate video game representations of water sport racing that I have played. Wave Race provides a super water racing experience that can't be found in any other game. Wave Race: Blue Storm incorporates different modes of gameplay, including competing in race modes, against track times, competing for points in Stunt Mode, or hangin with in the Free Roam mode. Multiplay is supported in Stunt and Race modes, is quite extensive, and allows up to three of your friends to race with you. Once you get the hang of this game and have navigated around enough buoys, you are given turbo boost power, which can be used at any time thereafter. Once you master it's use, you can go from competitive to a standout. Waverace has eight different racing machines to choose from, with different power, handling and balance schemes. There are also some great customizing options for power and maneuverability. There are lots of tracks, and traversing them not only depends upon your skill in normal sunny weather, but also in light rain to heavy storms. There are over 13 tricks that can be performed, which increase your top speed. Some of these include Flips, The Can-can, Dives, Barrel Rolls, Tabletop and Super-man to name a few. From a water graphics and sound perspective, Waverace Blue Storm is impressive. It has awesome water effects, nice rock and electric downbeat music, and the gameplay tight enough to make it both fair and challenging. Actually, the gameplay is the strongest part of this game. All in all, fans of the original will not be disappointed in their experience of "Waverace: Blue Storm." Pre-owned. Includes case, disk and instruction manual - Plays on Gamecube or Wii - Rarity Rating D
