#sgm0003 - Developed and published by Nintendo of America Inc., and released in April of 1992, the universally appealing Zelda III was introduced to the SNES gaming world. In The Legend of Zelda 3: A Link to the Past, the designers went back to the game series' roots, with the good old top-down perspective reminiscent of the original. They have also brought back the action-oriented gameplay that made the first an addictive, fun and challenging game to play. And (as the title implies) the events of this game takes place well before the events in the previous two Zelda games. There are huge overworlds in this game to wander across, not to mention more than a dozen labyrinths to explore. Link can freely move between these two diverse yet similar worlds of light and darkness, but there are places that can only be reached from both at strategically located points. So explore! The legend is that three Gods that had formerly inhabited the land left behind part of their essence in a mystic treasure known as the Triforce. It is said that anyone who touches it will have their wish granted. If that person be evil, their power could become an unbeatable force, and if someone good touched it, they could bestow peace and prosperity throughout the land. having heard of this power of the triforce, a dastardly thief named Gannondorf Dragmire sought for and found this treasure. And his wish was to spread darkness and evil across the land. Aided by a wizard named Aganihm, Ganon's minions have come to Hyrule and kidnapped 7 maidens and the Princess Zelda. It's up to Link to come to their aid and save the land. The Legend of Zelda: A link to the Past has just about everything you could possibly want in a video game. Great gameplay, beautiful and vibrant graphics, sound that is just outstanding (Koji Kondo), and a real challenge to serious gamers. This game has become one of the all time SNES classic collector's games. Pre-owned - Includes Game Only, no manual or instructions are included.
