GCG0064 - Developed by Amusement Vision, Ltd. and published by Nintendo of America Inc., "F-Zero GX" was released on August 26, 2003. This game was first introduced in 1990 for the Nintendo 64, and has graduated to the gamecube platform seamlessly, offering brilliant production values and some dramatic challenges in the process. And while F-Zero GX has all the hallmark elements of the N64 title of the beauty of pure speed and racing, there is a new story mode that details the history of each driver. With these back-stories, you get `a better sense of person and the importance to each race. Point blank, this is one of the best racing games ever to hit any console. There are several modes, including practice, time trials, multi-player and grand prix. You'll eventually be able to choose from over 30 different vehicles. There is also the new option of customizing the look of your vehicle. The game features high speed racing through futuristic racing tracks, the difficulty level going from relatively mild to nearly impossible. A great feature here is drifting, or what is also known as the power-slide around corners. Hitting both triggers will enable you to drift, which is great for cornering without losing speed. You will join Captain Falcon and a host of up to 29 different drivers from around the galaxy. If you do well on the 15 different racing tracks, you'll receive prize money that you can use to purchase new parts that will increase your speed. Unlike other racers, no weapons are used here, and so so it will take your reflexes and driving skill to get put you in the winners circle. It's the game's sense of Speed that is key to any good racing platform, and this one doesn't disappoint. This is a great and challenging racing game that runs smoothly for up to four players in a split-screen mode. And there are also lots of unlockable extras to find in F-Zero GX. The graphics are great, and the soundtrack is fantastic at enhancing the on-screen action. This game is Hard-core and this is most apparent in the games Story Mode. If you are looking for the exciting rush of driving a light-speed racer that plays as crisply as it looks, then this is the game for you. Pre-owned.
