sgm0081_2 - Developed by The Software Toolworks, Inc., and Published by Nintendo Co., Ltd., "Mario Is Missing" was released in 1992. Complete, including box, map and instruction manual in near mint condition. Mario is Missing is a rare side-scrolling children's educational type game modeled to teach children geography. The game scenario is that Bad Boy Bowser from the Mario Bros. series, has Kidnapped Mario and left the Mushroom kingdom escaping into the real world. Yes, Mario Is Missing! Bowser has gone to Antarctica and established his command center there where he has created gateways leading to 25 exotic city locations around the world. Through these gateways his henchman Koopas have gone and created chaos and caused mayhem in our own world. You play as Mario's brother Luigi, and it is up to you to thwart Bowser's evil schemes by tracking down the Koopa henchmen who have caused turmoil in these cities by stealing famous artifacts. You will have to explore the exciting cities by navigating their streets with only a map and compass and looking for clues about your location. When you come across a famous landmark, there is information to read. Some friendly people may even provide you with clues to Bowser's location. You must enter through each of the gateways, determine where you are, and set everything right. Once you complete this, you call Yoshi on your Globulator because you will need him to eat the cactus creature (Pokey) who guards the return gateway. Once completed and you return through the gateway, you can close it forever. Mario is missing is truly educational because by exploring these 25 cities this way, you familiarize yourself with the landmarks and artifacts that each city is famous for. When you return artifacts that were stolen by the Koopas, to their proper place, you can take pictures of them to remember the trip. The graphics for this game are outstanding, especially highlighting the beautiful city locations. See if you know enough about geography to rescue Mario, in Mario Is Missing! Great for children or anyone educational minded. Pre-owned - Includes Game Only - UPC: 050047109549 - ESRB Rating "E" for Everyone - Rarity Rating B- - Mario Is Missing Game Review by "NES Gamer".
