Tetris 2

$14.99

SGM0028 - Developed and Published by Nintendo of America Inc., "Tetris 2" was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in August of 1994. Unlike the original Tetris, Tetris 2 for SNES is a simi-rare strategy puzzle game which is one of the more difficult versions of Tetris you can find, and also one of the best. Tetris 2 keeps the great puzzle-solving strategy of the original Tetris, but is different from the standard in that you clear the field of blocks by matching the colors of the falling blocks. And each of the playing fields start with different colored dots, with one of each color flashing. The falling blocks are made up of the same three colors, and by matching blocks of the same color over the top or to the side of the dot, you clear the dot and colored blocks are cleared from the screen. Moreover, if you clear a dot that is flashing, all the corresponding dots of the same color will also be cleared. So to finish the round, you don't clear the blocks, but the dots themselves. Beside the gameplay being excellent, the graphics and backgrounds are really unique and strange but also very amusing, if not bizarre. Your points are kept in multiplayer mode by the number of fish swimming in your side of the screen. Like I said, Bizarre but amusing. There are three modes in Tetris 2 for Super Nintendo. They are Normal Mode, Puzzle Mode, and the Multi-Player Mode. In Normal Mode, you simply keep clearing all of the blocks until you win the game. In Puzzle Mode there is a selected number and class to clear everything on the screen. And in Mulitplayer Mode, you get to play against a friend or foe. Playing with a friend is fun, but you also have the option to play the computer. There are three difficulty levels in this option. Tetris 2 is a really fun and challenging game to play, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.
